From Nothing to Something
The form of creating something is the form of taking nothing and making something from it. Perhaps a better way of describing it is that you take the unseen and make it seen.
A good sculptor says he looks a a large stone and 'sees' the image inside it. Then, he simply removes the excessive stone from it - and behold, there is the image! So, perhaps you 'see' your painting on a blank canvas. Or you 'see' your novel or your poem on a blank piece of paper. Perhaps you 'see' the gorgeous flower in the seed you plant, or picture the beautiful garment by looking at a bolt of fabric.
Creator-you 'sees' the unseen, visualizes the invisible, and makes the nothing become something wonderful!
